Many traditions associate voice with the process of creativity. Native Australians inhabit the land and space through singing, and say that this is how their ancestors brought the earth to life in the past. We often notice how alive we are by listening to our own voice.
Better Contact with the Inner Self
During this event, participants explore how sound and voice serve as a means of connecting with oneself, a way of clarifying and choosing a path. Voice serves as assistance in difficult situations, facilitating a transition to something new, and liberating oneself from difficulties.
Workshop’s process helps to restore energy levels, build confidence, and create clarity through voice-focused group work done in a gentle, caring manner.
Voice work techniques done in group help address issues and difficulties associated with the inability to fully express emotions, inhibitions on certain thoughts and decisions, or a reluctance to open up to a particular context or experience. Gently and non-directively, they help balance nervous system responses.
Strucure of the Workshop
Elements performed in mini-groups alternate with individual practices.
We will have short breaks between parts and a longer break enough for a cup of tea and a snack.
Potential results
This workshop will allow us to explore the nature of voice as an element of transformational practice.
Gain more clarity and stability, define the path to a goal or a solution to a problem more precisely. Working with the voice in a group helps to align one’s state, strengthen one’s resilience, and soften difficult, uncomfortable reactions.
Who can participate?
The workshop is open to everyone. No previous training or voice skills needed.
